São Paulo – Oman, the Gulf Arab country, will resume issuing tourist visas to people on trips arranged by hotels or tour operators. The announcement was made late last month by the Supreme Committee handling matters relating to the Covid-19 pandemic, https://gulfbusiness.com/ Gulf Business reported.

'The Supreme committee decided to allow the issuance of tourist visas to enter the Sultanate, provided that the arrival of tourists is within the framework of tourist groups organized by hotels and tourism companies,' https://omannews.gov.om/ Oman News Agency reported.

Visa issuance had been on hold since the pandemic broke out last March. In June, the Omani administration moved to extend the validity of tourist visas issued between March 1, 2020 and August 31 until March 2021.
