(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MADRID, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Spain's Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that 369 patients died from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 10,222 people tested positive for the disease in 24 hours.
On its official website, the ministry said that the death toll from the disease rose to 44,037 and the overall infections to 1,605,066.
The number of cases climbed to 344,246 in Madrid, 298,703 in Catalonia and 223,426 in Andalusia, it noted. Up to 15,986 patients, including 2,838 ones in intensive care units, are receiving treatment in hospitals, it pointed out.
Spain is experiencing a national emergency that will continue until next May, at a time when the government is studying imposing a series of health measures during the New Year holidays.
Preventing a more-than-six-people gathering and imposing a curfew after 1:00 a.m. to prevent further outbreak of the virus are on the top of these measures. (end)
