Qatar- MoPH reports one Covid-19 death on Nov 25


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 209 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 252 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 134,950.

Out of the 209 new cases, 168 are community cases and 41 from travellers returning from abroad.

The Ministry also announced the death of a 60-year-old, who was receiving the necessary medical care.

So far, 237 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 137,851 and there are 2,664 active cases under treatment.



3709 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (9080 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,092,622 tests.

There are 30 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total patients in the hospital to 268.

Two patients were admitted to intensive care, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical attention in intensive care currently to 36.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
