Following a knock of a powerful earthquake over Turkey's western province of Izmir at the end of the past month, the region has been facing the spread of coronavirus which saw a rise after the quake.

A string of further procedures with the purpose of "ensuring social isolation, protecting physical distance, and keeping the spread of the outbreak under control" has been revealed on Tuesday by Izmir Provincial Sanitation Board.

According to the board, people were prohibited from going for a picnic and sitting in parks, picnic zones, and down the coastal strip with the recent constraints.

In addition, in order to stop citizens from "forming crowds and creating images that are not compatible with the fight against the pandemic", it advised pertinent businesses to take out tables and chairs in the common zones of shopping malls.
