G20 leaders wrap up Saudi-hosted virtual summit


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- The leaders of the worldآ's 20 biggest economies concluded the 15th annual G20 summit on Sunday, where recovery from the coronavirus pandemic topped the agenda for the two-day talks.
"We have accomplished a lot this year in the face of coronavirus-induced challenges," Saudi Arabiaآ's King Salman bin Abdulaziz said in his speech amid the talks, highlighting a "well-balanced economy" as a necessity in the post-pandemic world.
He went on to say that the kingdom would continue to live up to its role as a prominent member of the G20 group of nations, as it eyes greater global cooperation to keep the most perennial challenges at bay.
The presidency of the group of emerging powers and rich nations shifts to Italy for next yearآ's summit. (end)
