Kuwait confirms 322 new COVID-19 cases, three deaths


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Sunday logged 322 new coronavirus infections to raise the total to 140,056, while three fatalities recorded over the past 24 hours upped its death toll from the outbreak to 866, the health ministry said.
The number of people hospitalized with the virus currently stands at 7,012, with 86 of them in intensive care units, according to a Health ministry statement, adding that some 4,099 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 1,052,001 so far.
The ministry had earlier reported that some 618 more people had recovered from the virus over the past day, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 132,178.
The ministry went on to urge citizens and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (end)
