Tunisia: COVID-19 kills 73 more people


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Ministry of Health on Saturday recorded 73 new death cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and 1,270 new infection cases during the past 24 hours.
The ministry said, in a statement, that caseload of the infections climbed to 86,265 and the death toll to 2,684, while total recoveries settled at 60,486.
The pandemic that first broke out in China late last year has spread to most corners of the world, claiming heavy losses in souls and economies, unprecedented in mankind's modern history.
While some nations are expected to accredit vaccines in weeks, the pandemic continued to roll across the global arena taking more lives and contaminating many people, amid precautionary measures of diverse magnitutde and scale from one country to another.
The pandemic has reportedly infected more than 57 million people, so far, and has taken lives of more than 1.136,000 others. (end)
