Poland: 22,464 COVID-19 cases, 6,471 in Czech Republic, 4,440 Hungary, Slovakia 1,818


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, Nov 20 (KUNA) -- The Polish Ministry of Health on Friday recorded 22,646 additional COVID-19 cases and 626 people died from the virus.
The total confirmed cases reached 819,000 and death toll amounted to 12,714 cases, added ministry.
Czech Health Ministry said that 6,471 new COVID-19 cases emerged, bringing the total to around 481,000.
The total recovery reached to 379.380 cases and death toll increased to 6,874, it added.
Meanwhile, the Hungary health ministry announced 4,440 new COVID-19 cases, raising the total to 165,000.
The ministry added 96 died from the virus, increasing the total to 3,568.
Slovakia's health ministry said that 1,818 new COVID-19 cases, increasing the confirmed cases to 93,396.
It added that 35 died from the virus, raising the death toll to 614.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), half of the countries in the European countries recently saw a 50 percent increase of people infected, especially in Europe and North America, from the upcoming winter season. (end)
