Ukraine- Fedorov: Startup Fund should provide grants for creative industry as well


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov proposes that grants for startups and products related to the creative industry be included on the list of grants provided through the Ukrainian Startup Fund.

He stated this during the fourth international Creative Ukraine Forum, an Ukrinform correspondent reports

'We have the Startup Fund at the Finance Ministry. It provides grant support for various technology projects. There is a proposal to add a separate section for the creative industry to this fund," Fedorov said.

The minister added that through the fund it is possible get a grant of up to USD 50,000. "It believe that such grant support during the pandemic is very important. It can be done very quickly: to update, collect such projects and invest dozens of cool startups," he said.

In his opinion, the next Ukrainian company, which could receive such funding, may become a company that will create an application with modern economic and business audiobooks in the Ukrainian language.

As Ukrinform reported, the Ukrainian Startup Fund is a nationwide investment program that provides funding to the most talented Ukrainian entrepreneurs. In July 2019, the government presented the Ukrainian Startup Fund. On December 2, the Fund began accepting grant applications.
