IRAQ confirms 2,374 new COVID-19 cases, 39 deaths


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD, Nov 19 (KUNA) -- Iraq's Health Ministry on Thursday recorded 39 more deaths and 2,374 new COVID-19 cases, accumulating the total to 529,226 including the Kurd region.
A statement by Iraqi Ministry of Health said that the majority of recent cases were logged in Baghdad with 785, followed by Kirkuk Province with 235, and 193 from Al-Sulaymaniya, while the rest are spread from all over the country.
As for the deaths, of the 39 recorded, six were from Baghdad and the rest are from nine other provinces, as for the contrary cases, 2,314 patients have fully recovered.
The total number of individuals infected by the virus has risen to 529,226, of which 11,834 have died and 457,490 have recovered. (end)
