(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Weddings and religious events have been temporarily banned in the Western Province.
The decision has been taken to control the spread of the coronavirus.
The President's Office said that all events which would result in the public gathering in one place have been banned in the Western Province.
Meanwhile, the President's Office also said that curfew passes will not be issued during the three day curfew in the Western Province.
"Passes will be issued only if there is an essential requirement," the President's Office said.
The President's Office said that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the three day curfew in the Western Province.
A quarantine curfew has been imposed in the entire Western Province from midnight tonight (Thursday) till 05.00am on Monday (02). (Colombo Gazette)
