(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Al Shamal Municipality represented by the Services Affairs Department conducted a campaign to disinfect and sterilise streets following the preventive and precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The campaign covered public parks, mosques, streets, restaurants and commercial outlets at Al Shamal City, Abu Zuluf, Al Ruwais, Fish Market and Port Market, said the Ministry of Municipality and Environment in a statement.
Al Ruwais Health Center, Industrial Area, labor camps, Al Shamal Slaughterhouse were also disinfected under the campaign.
Meanwhile, Al Sheehaniya Municipality cleaned out and disinfected ‘Al Sheehaniya Yard' (winter vegetable market of Al Sheehaniya) in preparation to reopen from today. All five winter vegetable markets will reopen today.
