(MENAFN) Based on official data released in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the merciless COVID-19 disease claimed 25 more lives in Bulgaria over the previous 24-hour period, with the national tally of related deaths rising to 1,161.
Meanwhile, the cumulative record of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus across the Balkan nation has amounted to 40,132, after 2,569 more cases were reported in the previously stated period, the Ministry added.
The figures also showed that 11,226 tests were carried out on Monday, bringing the total number to 680,744.
According to the ministerial figures, the combined toll of patients who have won the battle against the brutal COVID-19 and been accordingly discharged from hospitals compared to the previous 24 hours has reached 18,943, whereas the number of people who are being currently treated in local facilities amounted to 2,217, including 145 in the ICUs.
