Turkish security authorities arrest PPK suspects in Istanbul


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ISTANBUL, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- Turkish Security Forces arrested PPK suspects, accused of plotting attacks in Istanbul, Wednesday.
Istanbul policeآ's anti-terrorism teams launched an operation after intelligence that the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) plans to carry out attacks at several times and places, according to Anadolu news agency.
Moreover, the police carried out simultaneous raids at 10 places throughout the city.
Turkish media reported two days ago that PKK and so-called Islamic State (IS) elements came from Syria to carry out attacks in public places on Thursday. (end)
