Morocco confirms over 4000 more positive COVID-19 cases


(MENAFN) The Moroccan Health Ministry announced on Sunday that 4,045 more patients across the nation tested positive for the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours.

At a daily news release, Hind Ezzine, the head of the department of epidemic diseases of the Ministry of Health revealed that the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country hit 194,461, while the death toll rose by 50 to 3,255.

The number of people cured has increased to 160,372 with 3,197 new recoveries, she added.

The COVID-19 death rate in Morocco stabilizes at 1.7 percent, with the recovery rate at 82.5 percent, the official noted.
