Hong Kong: Coronavirus infections reach 5,289


(MENAFN) Hong Kong's Center for Health Protection (CHP) confirmed five additional coronavirus infections on Saturday, October 24, bringing Hong Kong's count to 5,289.

Of the newly infections, four were imported and the remaining one, relating a 56-year-old male, was a local infection with unidentified cause of infection, chief of the CHP's Communicable Disease Branch Chuang Shuk-kwan told a press meeting on Saturday, October 24.

Chuang stated that less than 10 preliminary positive infections were confirmed on Saturday, October 24, counting one undetectable case that concerned a 42-year-old male.

109 patients are still getting treatment in hospitals, counting 12 in serious condition, according to Hong Kong's Hospital Authority.
