Qatar- S'hail 2020 concludes at Katara today

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: The fourth edition of Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail 2020), which ends today, continues to generate great interest from the public.

The falcon auctions have been attracting huge participation from falconers and enthusiasts.

The caravan pavilions set up behind Katara Building 12 are also a crowd-puller. The pavilions offer a range of Qatari made caravans packed with exclusive features that make them truly exceptional with various sizes and dimensions, offering after sales maintenance and services.

The Luxury Cruise company, which belongs to Al Sada Factory, displays in its pavilion fancy caravans with stylish interiors, making them an appropriate choice as the caravans are customized according to the model of cars attached to them and according to the customer's requests.

Qatar SportsTech (QST), a leading sportstech hub in the region, is participating in S'hail 2020 with its EntelaQ programme. QST is holding a contest where participants can fill in their ideas that can solve falconry, horse and camel racing, or hunting challenges to win big prizes beside the chance to have a great business future.

If one wants to continue developing their idea into a startup, QST will be selecting ten startups towards the next two weeks to enter their pre-accelerator programme.

Explaining their presence at the fourth edition of S'hail, Abdulla Rashid Al-Khater, Incubation Advisor at Qatar Development Bank (QDB), said, 'This is the first time we are here because QST was launched towards the end of 2018. Given that we promote sports ideas and startups, it was natural for us to be a part of this exhibition.

'We have been getting a very good response. We have received close to 55 applications already and we are keen that anyone who wishes to contribute his or her idea gets the chance to do so, he added.

QST aims to transform Qatar into one of the leading global sports hubs. It seeks to contribute to Qatar's diversification goals by building the sports ecosystem through supporting innovative entrepreneurial startups. It has been initiated by the QDB and is powered by StartUpbootcamp. QST's startups have the support of the entire sports and entrepreneurial ecosystems in Qatar.

The newly designed Pre-Accelerator Program, EntelaQ, aims to nourish the local startup ecosystem. EntelaQ is a bridge that links idea-stage concepts with accelerator-ready startups.

QST also travels round the world to scout for and engage with international startups that use cutting edge technology to reshape the sports industry.

S'hail 2020 has brought together 120 exhibitors representing major local and international companies specialised in falconry, hunting weapons, and safari supplies from 13 countries.
