Kuwait- New batch of cadets graduate from Saad Al-Abdullah Academy


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- Saad Al-Abdullah Academy of Security Sciences celebrated on Thursday the graduation of the 24th batch of major sergeants from the non-commissioned officers' institute.
The 241 new graduates include 207 trainees from the Ministry of Interior and 44 from the National Guard who joined service in the presence of senior security officials, according to a press release from the Ministry's General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt.-Gen. Esam Al-Nahham called on the graduates to put the security of Kuwait above all considerations and set a good example in dedication and discipline.
He conveyed to them the greetings of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh.
Lt.-Gen. Al-Nahham affirmed that the security institution spares no effort in caring for its sons out of belief that modernization of the security apparatus is unlikely without building the capacity of human resources.
"Constant training is a must in addressing the new security challenges," he stressed.
On his part, Undersecretary of the National Guard Lt.-Gen. Staff Hashem Al-Refa'ie appreciated the efforts of the Interior Ministry to organize the training of non-commissioned officers.
Director-General of the Academy Maj.-Gen. Nasser Bouresly commended the dedication shown by the cadets throughout the course, wishing them success in serving the security institution.
Yesterday, the Academy witnessed the graduation from the police school of the 37th batch of lance corporals, the 90th batch of privates and the 10th batch of privates of Kuwaiti mothers; their total number amounts to 902. (end)
