Kuwait- UAE reports two deaths from COVID-19, 1,578 infections


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- In the United Arab Emirates (UAE) two deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 474 on Thursday.
In a statement, UAE's ministry of health added 1,578 new coronavirus cases were confirmed, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 120,710.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, announced also that it conducted 114,000 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
The Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
The ministry also noted an additional 1,550 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 113,364. (end)
