(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The electronic falcon auction at the ongoing fourth Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition at the Cultural Village Foundation Katara sees remarkable participation from falconers and falconry enthusiasts.
This year's S'hail is distinguished by the electronic falcon auction in which each participant receives a gold card that allows him to visit the exhibition anytime.
The participant can view pictures and data of all kinds of participating falcons including the rarest 'Hur falcons, and follow the auction electronically.
On the first day of the auction, Hassan Khaled Ghanem Al Ghanem recorded the highest price in the falcon auction on falcon No. 1 FarkhHur(Iran Tarh) with the amount of QR145,000.
The event which continues until Saturday evening has witnessed a steady increase in attendance from hunting and falconry aficionados as well as the presence of dignitaries, officials, ambassadors and members of diplomatic corps.
Muhammad bin Abdul Latif Al Misnad, Vice Chairman of S'hail Organising Committee said that this year's event, which attracted the best international companies in the industry, benefits falconry and hunting enthusiasts and businesses as it serves as a link between them providing high quality products within everyone's reach.
The exhibitors and visitors admired the activities and events at the exhibition while expressing gratitude to Katara for its efforts in developing the activities according to an innovative vision and new style.
Several companies specialised in equipping four-wheel-drive cars used by hunters and off-road drivers participated in S'hail exhibition. These pavilions present their latest products, including accessories and spare parts, and other equipment as well as electronic systems required in falcon hunting and during desert trips.
Adding to the ambience, S'hail presents a variety of cafes and restaurants offering daily menu of birds, deer and rabbits meat, prepared by a some of the most skilled chefs of Katara restaurants, following the precautionary measures and requirements set by the Ministry of Public Health and relevant government agencies to maintain health and safety of visitors and limit the spread of COVID-19.
