Saudi King unveils new line-ups of top religious body, Shura Council


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RIYADH, Oct. 18 (KUNA) -- Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud issued on Sunday several royal decrees reshuffling the Senior Scholars Council and the Shura Council.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the royal decrees included the new line-ups of the two councils.
In his decrees, King Salman named the Kingdom's Mufti Abdulaziz Al Sheikh the president of the Scholars Council.
He also appointed Dr. Abdullah Al Sheikh speaker of the Shura Council.
In a separate decree, the King named Khaled Al-Luhaidan as the chairman of the country's supreme court. (end)
