(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ALGIERS, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- The Algerian Health Ministry on Sunday announced that 10 patients died from the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and 199 people tested positive for it in the last 24 hours.
The overall infections and death toll climbed to 54,402 and 1,856, respectively, Dr. Jamal Furar, the spokesman for the Ministry's Covid-19 Monitoring and Follow-up Committee, said in a press briefing.
The overall recoveries rose by 117 to 38,088, he added, noting that 33 patients are still receiving treatment at ICUs. (end)
