Covid-19 deaths in Morocco rise by 50 to 2,928


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RABAT, Oct 18 (KUNA) -- The Moroccan Ministry of Health said on Sunday that 50 patients succumbed to the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) in the past 24 hours, taking the death toll to 2,928.
In its daily press statement, the ministry noted that the confirmed infections rose by 2,721 to 173,632.
The number of recoveries went up by 2,591 to 143,972, with a recovery rate of 82.9 percent.
Up to 534 patients are currently treated at intensive care units (ICUs), it added. (end)
