Qatar- Tasty Street new culinary destination at Katara

(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Doha: Tasty Street, the latest culinary destination at the Cultural Village Foundation Katara, lives up to its name as a new go-to hub for foodies looking for wide ranging food and beverage options for drive-thru lovers.

The recently opened unique food venue is fast becoming a favourite one-stop-shop for motorists who wish to try varied food offerings while enjoying the good weather as the winter season nears.

A large number of cars can be seen in queue on the street adjacent to Al Gannas Headquarters to sample scrumptious takeaway favourites from more than 30 well-lighted wooden food stalls.

'Food is great and options are endless. I like the fact that the place offers fresh menus you won't find in well-known food chains in Doha since they have been crafted by local restaurants and cafes, said Hameed, one of the foodies who was seen lining up at the venue yesterday.

From 3pm till late night, the Street turns into a haven for motorists coming from a busy day at work or directly from their homes to try out some of the mouthwatering cuisines on offer. From delicious burgers and sandwiches to artisanal pastries and sweets, from coffee and karak to juices and smoothies, you name it and Tasty Street has it all.

Coffeephiles can have their coffee fix with a wide array of coffee options at Cuppers Coffee & Co., 974 Specialty Coffee, Jolt Coffee Brewery, and Wave Speciality Coffee, just to name a few.

They can also sample delectable specially made burgers at Scary Burger, Lava burger, and QQQ Burger or satisfy their sweet cravings at Dinara Kasko Pastry Art, Sugar Bites, Choco Bisc, and Donutty, among the many choices available.

The venue is hard to miss with the huge brightly lit Tasty Street sign welcoming customers with a glowing fence leading to the location.

The event is mindful of the pandemic, and customers are able to purchase food through a drive-thru or walk-up setting. Though COVID-19 restrictions in the country are being gradually lifted, people are cautious of eating out and Tasty Street is a good option.

'I prefer takeaway to dining in restaurants for safety, that's why I'm happy to hear of this new drive-thru food destination. So far, I like the food here and I'm definitely coming back this weekend, said Shafeeq, a first-time Tasty Street visitor.

Katara has already hosted a number of food festivals in the past including those for takeaway lovers, one of which was the well-received Ramadan Drive-Thru Festival.
