COVID-19 related deaths surpass 150k in Brazil


(MENAFN) The combined record of patients who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus in the worst-hit Brazil has reached 5,082,637 as of the past 24 hours ending on Sunday, whereas the national tally of lives that have been claimed due to the pandemic of the most infectious virus amounted to 150,198 all over the Latin American State.

Based on the Brazilian Health Ministry, a number of 26,749 more people were diagnosed with the coronavirus over the stated period, with 559 new patients were said to have succumbed to the disease.


The overwhelm majority of Brazil"s total cases were reported in its southeast state of Sao Paulo which included 1,030,000 infections and 37,223 deaths.

Brazil ranks third after the United States and India with the hugest number of positive COVID-19 infections among the whole world"s states.
