South Korean carmakers' worldwide car sales upbeat in September in excess of local require


(MENAFN) On Monday October 5 industry data illustrated that South Korean carmakers' worldwide car sales increased last month thanks to a strong local demand, marking the first growth this year.

The worldwide car motive sales by five carmakers, namely Hyundai, Kia, GM Korea, Renault Samsung and Ssangyong, amounted to 703,247 vehicles in September, upbeat 0.9 percent as of a year earlier.

It was the first enlargement this year as the local car sales positioned a double-digit boost that counterbalances weak abroad require.


The figure of cars sold in the domestic market was 138,530 in September, upbeat 23.3 percent as of a year earlier, whereas dilapidated 3.4 percent to 564,717 units in the abroad markets.
