Vietnam: CPI augment 3.85 percent


(MENAFN) According to the country's General Statistics Office on Wednesday, September 30, that the consumer price index (CPI) of Vietnam, which calculates changes in the prices paid by customers for a basket of merchandise and services, augmented 3.85 percent on-year in the first nine months of this year.

Between January and September, articles posting the most major upsurges contained restaurants and food preparation services (rose 11.27 percent), education (augmented 4.17 percent), and medicine and health services (augmented 2.70 percent).

According to the office, compared to August, the index increased by 0.12 percent, added by price upsurges of six over the 11 items in the computation basket. The upsurge was driven by such issues growing prices of education services along with higher electricity prices.
