Sydney offers over 20,000 free masks to poor inhabitants

(MENAFN) The Sydney city council settled on to hand out over 20,000 free and reusable masks to those weak in the city in an attempt to further control the spreading of coronavirus.

Lord Mayor Clover Moore stated in a report on Monday, September 28, that while the Sydney city council sturdily sustains the health advice to wear a mask, they also comprehended that not everyone was able to buy them.

Moore stated "The city of Sydney has purchased cloth reusable masks for the most vulnerable in our community, rough sleepers, people in social housing and boarding houses".

"The masks are made from three ply material and meet the guidelines produced by the World Health Organization. We worked with an Australian manufacturer, ClothMaskMe, who provided the masks at cost price, as they were keen to support such an important cause."
