(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ANKARA, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Saturday that 71 more people died from the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) over the last 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 7,929.
Some 1,511 people also tested positive for the virus, bringing the country's total infections to 312,966, Koca was quoted as saying in a statement carried by Anadolu news agency.
Total recoveries went up by 1,232 to 274,514, the minister added.
Medical teams on Saturday carried out 102,009 virus tests, taking the total tests to 9.936 million since the outbreak of the virus in the country, he noted. (end)
