The General Statistics Office of Vietnam said that the export and import turnovers of the country rose 1.6 percent and dropped 2.2 percent in the starting eight months of 2020.
Export revenues came in at a total of USD174.1 billion as the import turnovers hit over USD162.2 billion in the cited period.
The office said that between the January and August period, the United States was the biggest importer from Vietnam having turnovers of USD46.7 billion, China followed with a turnover of USD27 billion as the Union registered USD22.9 billion.
China was Vietnam's biggest exporter having a turnover of USD49.3 billion, South Korea followed with USD28.7 billion as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) came in at USD19.4 billion.
