Hubei sees recovery in railway cargo transport

The railway cargo transport in Chinese Hubei, a province that was harshly struck by coronavirus, reported a strong rebound, having a yearly expansion in both carriage number and cargo volume for the first time after epidemic.

The China Railway Wuhan Group Co., Ltd, said that since September, over 4,200 carriages were loaded on average daily, rising 2.2 percent since a year ago.

The number of carriages that was loaded came in at 422 more than the figure reported in August, rising 11.1 percent since the previous month.

A total of 4.28 million tons of cargo were delivered in September so far, rising 0.9 percent since a year ago, the company said.
