Kuwait receiving remains of suspected POWs significant - Italian Friendship


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwaitآ's receiving remains of suspected Kuwaiti prisoners and missing citizens during the Iraqi invasion in 1990 is an "important humanitarian achievement", part of Kuwait's continuous effort to uncover fate of its sons, said Italian-Kuwaiti Friendship Society on Tuesday.
In a statement to KUNA, Head of the society Pierandrea Vanni, said the association since 30 years, has always followed on and supported the humanitarian cause of the prisoners and missing persons to uncover fate of Kuwaiti civilians and military personnel who were forcibly taken to Iraq between 1990-1991.
Vanni renewed solidarity with the relatives of the victims and the Kuwaiti government and people. (end)
