Kuwait- Natآ'l Assembly to hold regular sessions excluding infected MPs -- speaker


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 21 (KUNA) -- Speaker of Kuwait National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al-Ghanim said on Monday that the National Assembly will hold regular sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday, without the presence of MPs infected with the new Coronavirus (Covid-19).
In a press statement addressed to the National Assembly, Al-Ghanim said that "all parliamentarians were examined and the infected were informed not to attend the session," wishing a speedy recovery for all those who were infected by the virus.
He stated that the sessionآ's agenda includes two interrogations of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in addition to important laws in favor for the Kuwaiti citizens.
"We hope to complete the two interrogations in tomorrow's session and accomplish the largest number of laws possible in the session the day after," he added.
He further stated, "I cannot announce the names of the MPs who were positively diagnosed of the coronavirus."
The General Secretariat of the National Assembly notified the concerned MPs not to attend the session in accordance with the protocols of the Ministry of Health and the report that was sent by it," he added. (end)
