Jordan- 2 new COVID-19 deaths, 35 cases reported in Syria


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sep. 21 (Petra) -- Syria on Monday announced that 2 new deaths and 35 additional cases from the novel coronavirus were recorded over the last 24 hours, according to the country's Ministry of Health.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted the ministry saying that the death toll in the country reached 172, while the infection tally hit 3,800.
"The total number of recoveries from the virus reached 946 following the recovery of 14 new patients," it added.
