Saudi- CAMRE to Hold Extraordinary Virtual Session to Discuss Safer Oil Tanker at the Request of KSA


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Cairo, September 20, 2020, SPA -- The Arab Environment and Meteorology Department of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environment (CAMRE) at the Arab League will hold an extraordinary virtual session tomorrow, Monday, at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector at the Arab League Ambassador Kamal Hassan Ali said in a statement issued today that this session will be held at the request of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to discuss ways of implementing resolution No. 582 issued by the CAMRE in its ordinary session No. (31) held in October, 2019, which was concerned with stressing the importance of finding a solution to avoid an environmental disaster caused by not maintaining the Safer Oil Tanker, which is anchored on the Red Sea since 2015.
