Jordan- JHCO dispatches medical aid convoy to Palestine


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 20 (Petra) -The Jordanian Hashemite Charitable Organization (JHCO) has on Sunday, dispatched a medical aid convoy to the West Bank, in coordination with the Palestinian embassy in Amman.
In a press statement, the JHCO said the medical aid was donated by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSRelief), the Indian government, in addition to the Jordanian private medical sector.
The convoy consists of two trucks carrying medical supplies and medicines to be delivered to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, in solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the the current conditions triggered by Covid-19 crisis, the statement stated.
The organization continues to coordinate with all parties to secure the basic and necessary needs to be funelled to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, and in coordination and cooperation with Arab, int'l donors, JHCO's Secretary-General, Ayman Mifleh, said as he saw off the relief shipment.
Also bidding farewell to the JHCO convoy was the First Secretary at the Palestinian Embassy in Amman, Bassam Hijjawi, who voiced his appreciation to the Jordanian government for the humanitarian aid it is providing to the Palestinian people, lauding the JHCO's role in facilitating entry of aid to Palestine.
