Russia to change budget plans


(MENAFN) Russia is set to reduce military expenses next year in support of increasing the national economy, marking the first time in seven years the two parts have exchanged places in the government"s financial plans.

Moscow has had to improve the country"s expenses plan in the wake of the COVID-19 outburst, with the government accepting a new national budget bill for the next three years later this week.

Military expenses are put to reach 3.11 trillion rubles (USD41.08 million) in 2021, equal to around 14.5 percent of all government costs. That"s over one percent inferior to the money due for the national economy, which are estimated to total 3.37 trillion rubles (USD44.51 billion), According to a note concerning to the draft plan, seen by business news outlet RBC.
