Qatar- Weekly property sales reach QR617.2m

Doha: About 135 real estate deals worth QR617.2m have been registered from September 6 to 10. Al Rayyan municipality, which comprised about 48 percent of the total sales volume, outperformed the other municipalities in terms of substantial deals, according to Ezdan Real Estate report. 

Building sale transactions dominated the property sale activity, generating up to QR365.7m, or 59.3 percent of aggregate sales volume. As many as 70 building sale transactions have been completed during the period. Vacant land lots generated about QR251.4m from 65 sale deals, comprising of 40.7 percent of the total volume. 

The breakdown of property sale activity during the period included operations distributed among seven municipalities including Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Daayen and Al Wakrah. The deals included vacant lands, residences, multi-use buildings, multi-use space and residential buildings.

Al-Rayyan municipality acquired the highest deal in terms of value by selling a land lot spanning over a huge area of 15,004sqm, sold at QR272 per square foot, totaling QR44m.
