Uzbekistan to carry on international tourism

(MENAFN) Uzbekistan has permitted tour operators to sort out group tours for foreign residents to visit the country from October 1, the country's special commission on coronavirus stated on Friday, September 18.

Tour workers will be capable of bringing in foreign traveler groups of between five and 15 people, and must make sure that tourists are free from coronavirus and other infectious illnesses, the commission stated.

According to the commission's decision, Members of foreign tourist groups with a negative coronavirus polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests should not be subject to 14-day confinement limitations, and should not admit to additional tests upon arrival in Uzbekistan.

On the other hand, if COVID-19 symptoms show upon arrival, travelers should take a paid PCR or articulate test or antigen, and if the test results are positive, the tourist will be put under confinement or should return to their home country, it stated.
