Nepali government to occupy local trips

(MENAFN) A Nepali cabinet minister stated that the Nepali government has determined to permit continuation of local trips and long-distance public ground transport services starting from September 21, after a pause of almost six months.

The Nepali government had stopped these services in the wake of coronavirus pandemic in late March. The Nepali government's decision came ahead of main festivals in Nepal, Dashain and Tihar, when people tend to travel to distant locations.

Yogesh Bhattarai, minister for culture, tourism and civil aviation, told Xinhua on Tuesday, September 15, "The cabinet meeting on Monday decided to resume both domestic flights and long-haul ground public transportation services to help normalize the people's lives".
