Morocco's total coronavirus infections go over 70,000

The health ministry of Morocco said that 1,555 more patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus, which has increased the total number of coronavirus cases across the country to 70,160 on Saturday.

Mouad Mrabet, coordinator of the Moroccan Center for Public Health Operations at the ministry, said that 1,446 more patients have recovered from the disease, pushing the total number of recovered cases to 53,929, as the total number of deaths stood at 1,329 following the additional death of 37 patients.

The coronavirus fatality rate in Morocco is now at 1.8 percent as the recovery rate is at 76 percent, as 190 patients are currently placed in intensive care units.

China has been aiding Morocco in its fight against the coronavirus.
