Madagascar to shut 3 COVID-19 treatment centers

(MENAFN) Local media revealed on Monday that the Malagasy president has declared the shutting down of three COVID-19 treatment centers in the capital Antananarivo during a stoppage in COVID-19 cases.

The Ivato, Vontovorona and Alarobia treatment centers were opened in June as other hospitals were overawed with patients with austere coronavirus symptoms. Most of the centers were intended to cure people who underwent respiratory depression.

President Andry Rajoelina stated on Sunday that only the Mahamasina treatment center in the capital will continue to accept COVID-19 patients, according to l'Express De Madagascar.
