The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday that the crude oil imports in the United States declined as the exports rose in the week ending on the 7th of August.
The Weekly Petroleum Status Report released by the EIA said that the crude oil imports in the United States stood at an average of 5.6 million daily barrels in the earlier week, reporting a decline of 389,000 barrels compared to a week ago as the exports of crude oil stood at an average of 3.1 million daily barrels, rising 324,000 barrels since a week ago.
Crude oil imports stood at an average of 5.7 million b/d in the earlier 4 weeks, declining around 1.5 million b/d since the previous year, as the crude oil exports had an average of 3.0 million b/d, a rise of 438,000 b/d compared to a year earlier.
