(MENAFN) Oman on Saturday registered 290 new coronavirus infections, counting 59 non-Omanis, taking the total number in the country to 81,357.
The health ministry stated in a report that 1,218 more patients recovered from the COVID-19, taking the total recovered infections to 73,481, while seven more passed away, carrying the fatalities to 509.
Ali Shaker, a doctor at a private hospital stated "The decrease in the number of daily COVID-19 cases in the country is due to the smaller-scale testing".
