(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 7 (KUNA) -- Chinese authorities announced, Friday, 37 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours without any deaths reported.
Some 27 of these infections were locally transmitted cases.
The new cases raised the total number to 84,565 and deaths stood still at 4,634 in mainland China, Xinhua news agency quoted the country's national health committee as saying.
It added that 31 people were discharged from hospitals, raising the number of recoveries to 79,088, while 843 patients are still receiving medical care. (end)
