(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- Turkey's Minister of Health Fehrettin Koca said Wednesday Ankara would send 20 doctors and surgeons to Lebanon to help treat the wounded from a massive blast that rocked Beirut port on Tuesday.
Koca, in a phone call with his Lebanese counterpart Hamad Hassan, said a Turkish plane loaded with medical and humanitarian supplies, and medicine also used to confront Covid-19 would fly to Lebanon, the MoH said in a statement.
Koca expressed condolences for the Lebanese people and said Turkey would stand by Lebanon. (end)
