(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- Qatar announced Wednesday that it had sent medical aid to Lebanon to help recovery efforts from Tuesday's Beirut port blast.
The explosion left thousands injured and caused the death of tens of people.
A statement by the Qatar news agency said that a Qatari air force aircraft left the capital Doha with medical supplies and equipment for field clinics.
Three planes will leave the Gulf country soon with 500 beds and other equipment on board, indicated the agency. (end)
