(MENAFN- The Peninsula) The Shura Council participated yesterday in a parliamentary seminar on coronavirus (COVID-19) and climate change'. The seminar was organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU); the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), and Parliamentarians for the Global Goals (PFGG) and held via video conference technology.
During the seminar, in which a number of experts in various fields took part, discussions focused on how to tackle the COVID-19 crisis, which could have long-term effects, in support of the Paris Climate Agreement and the sustainable development goals.
H E Nasser bin Khalil Al Jaidah, member of the Council, represented the Shura Council at the seminar.
