(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Baghdad, Aug 4 (Petra) –– The Iraqi Health Ministry said Tuesday it recorded 83 deaths from the coronavirus and 2,836 infections in the last 24 hours.
It said in its daily report that the new fatalities raised the death toll since the outbreak to 5,017 and the total number of infections to 134,722.
It said that lab tests showed that 1,992 COVID-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 96,103, adding that 33,603 remained in hospitals.
