(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, July 19 (KUNA) -- The US recorded over 63,000 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours while Brazil's new cases topped 28,000 in the past 24 hours.
According to Johns Hopkins University, up to 63,698 new cases and 853 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
The tally showed that the total cases nationwide reached at least 3,711,413 and 140,119 deaths.
As for Brazil, the health ministry reported 28,532 new coronavirus cases and 912 new deaths bringing the country's total cases to over 2.07 million and 78,772 deaths.
The US and Brazil rank first and second globally in the coronavirus cases and deaths. (end)
